What is The Lab?

Entering students to GSS Film & TV acting classes will take The Lab. Imagine the experience of three years of classical theatre training at the Yale School of Drama along with thousands of auditions and hundreds of days on sets of Network and Studio projects packed into three classes. Transmuting our decades into your days--that's The Lab.

The Lab Curriculum:

​

  • A series of three consecutive Wednesday 10am, Friday 10am, or Saturday 11am classes.

  • Introduction to the aesthetics of the studio.

  • Introduction to techniques taught at the Yale School of Drama as well as other eclectic approaches.

  • Taught by Graham, Rachel, Selina, Sylvia and Brendan

  • Exercising the four sources of acting: Physical, Emotional, Instinctual, and Intellectual.

  • On-camera, working from recently casting scripts.

  • You will begin to discover a foundational technique that will translate into immediate RESULTS in your acting and auditioning! 

  • After completion of The Lab you will be offered an appropriate place in our Ongoing Film & TV Acting Classes that will push you further in your craft.​​
